“Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia maintain very close and fruitful military cooperation. It testifies to the three countries` commitment to ensuring peace, stability and security both in the region and throughout the world," said Turkish Deputy Minister of National Defence Yunus Emre Karaosmanoglu as he addressed a conference on international defense and security in Batumi.

He noted that military drills jointly conducted by Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia played an important role in training highly skilled personnel and increasing the three countries` defense power.

Karaosmanoglu underlined that the trilateral cooperation was also instrumental in protecting large-scale energy and transport projects being implemented in the region.
