The United Nations Security Council-UNSC will hold a session on the situation concerning Iraq on Tuesday, 6 February 2024.

The Permanent Representative of Republic of Iraq to the United Nations, Abbas Kadhim Obaid, confirmed that Iraq warned against expanding the conflict in the region, pointing out that Iraq rejects all forms of attacks targeting military bases, adamantly refusing to be drawn into the ongoing regional conflict arena.

Meanwhile, Some UN Security Council members criticized the US over last week’s airstrikes in Iraq.
