Thousands of people have come together to mark exactly one week since the London terror attack, in which four victims and the assailant died.
Police officers, doctors and members of different faith groups all took part in the walk over Westminster bridge.
Khalid Masood killed three people there after ploughing a 4×4 through pedestrians who were walking along the pavement.
After crashing the vehicle he fatally stabbed PC Keith Palmer outside Parliament before he was eventually shot dead.
The attack, at approximately 2:40 pm local time, is said to have taken just 82 seconds from start to finish.
Organisers said the event showed that people would not be divided by the attack.
Ayyaz Ahma from the #IAMAMUSLIM campaign said:
“Everybody was sort of, looking at each other with a mark of respect about what happened. Especially when the clock hit, sort of, 2.40, 2.45, and I think that’s when it really sunk in.”
“We are standing in solidarity with families who have lost loved ones, but mostly to show the world that we are one irrespective of what faith we represent. Which is just so important in our world today where there is so much division,” Reverend Femi Cole-Njji said.
Separate events were also held in other British cities, including Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds.
The tributes came on the same day that an inquest into the victims’ deaths was opened and adjourned at Westminster Coroners Court.
