Council of Europe (27 April 2020)

The Grant agreement between joint EU/Council of Europe action “Freedom of expression and freedom of the media in Serbia (JUFREX)” and the Judicial Academy, Republic of Serbia (JA) has been signed. Through joint activities, from May 2020 to December 2021, judges and prosecutors will be provided with in-depth trainings on freedom of expression.

The grant presents continuation of successful co-operation between Judicial Academy and Council of Europe during the JUFREX Phase 1, implemented from 2016 to 2019. JUFREX I achieved noticeable results also at the regional level – the events for legal professionals ensured more in-depth trainings for national trainers on freedom of expression, facilitated networking, exchange of experiences and good practices between participants.

We continue our work and co-operation with the new phase of the action which is a part of the “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey II”, joint initiative of the European Union and the Council of Europe.
