According to the State Department, Victoria Nuland will consider a series of bilateral and regional issues with her hosts, including progress in implementing the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and continued support to Serbia's efforts on the road toward the EU.

Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic last week received U.S. Ambassador Kyle Scott, discussing, among other topics, the importance of Nuland's upcoming visit.

The U.S. official was in Pristina on Sunday where she "urged Kosovo to further its dialogue with Serbia and also approve a border demarcation with Montenegro," AP has reported.

Nuland also "called on Kosovo leaders to strengthen the rule of law, the justice system and the fight against corruption and organized crime as fundamental for Kosovo's advance."

On Sunday, she traveled from Pristina to Tirana, Albania for meetings with representatives of government, political parties and civil society, "and also discussed judicial reform," Beta agency has reported, adding that she will be in Skopje on Monday before arriving in Belgrade.

The talks in Macedonia should focus on "a resolution to the ongoing political crisis and the creation of conditions for holding credible elections."
