Ivica Dacic says Serbia "does not agree" with US Vice President Mike Pence's statement about Russia "redrawing borders in Balkans by force."

"Serbia was an observer at the (Adriatic Charter) Summit in Podgorica, and that does not mean we are in agreement with everything that's been said there, including that Russia is redrawing borders by force here... when it comes to redrawing borders, that's exactly what the West has done with Serbia," he told Friday's edition of the daily Vecernje Novosti.

The Serbian foreign minister and first deputy prime minister also said that Serbia expected the United States to do what Pence said it would - support the region, but leave each state to decide on its own future. 

"Serbia knows what's best for it," Dacic said.
