As part of an official visit to the Italian Republic, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with the country's President Sergio Mattarella.

Warmly welcoming Sadyr Zhaparov, Sergio Mattarella thanked the Kyrgyz President for his visit to Rome and expressed confidence that the results of today's talks will give additional impetus to bilateral political, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties.

The Italian President noted the importance of strengthening the system of international relations, focusing on issues of interaction between Kyrgyzstan and Italy within the UN, OSCE and other international structures.
