The culture ties between Azerbaijan and Russian has always been at a high level, and today these relations are only developing at a faster pace through the implementation of various projects in art, cinema, music etc.

Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Abulfas Garayev met with the rector of the All-Russian State Cinematography Institute, the President of the Association of Culture and Art Education Institutions, academician of the Russian Academy of Education Vladimir Malyshev.

The Russian delegation arrived in Baku within the framework of the project "Days of the All-Russian State Cinematography Institute in the CIS countries.The 100th anniversary of the world's first cinema school ".

Abulfaz Garayev welcomed the guests and expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of relations between the two countries in the field of culture and stressed great opportunities for further expansion of cooperation.

In his speech, the minister noted that joint initiatives and projects in cinematography would be a major contribution to the further development of cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Russia. 

Touching upon the signing of an agreement on cooperation between the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts and the All-Russian State Cinematography Institute, he said that it will serve to organize joint events, conferences, master classes and student exchange.

Rector of the All-Russian State Cinematography Institute Vladimir Malyshev expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture for holding a number of events as part of the project  "Days of the All-Russian State Cinematography Institute in the CIS countries. The 100th anniversary of the world's first cinema school".

Vladimir Malyshev stressed the importance of joint projects to promote cultural cooperation between the two countries.

Professors of the All-Russian State Cinematography Institute Vladimir Fokin, Vladimir Mensov, Vladimir Khotinenko, Head of the Institute, Tatyana Yakovlyova, Head of the educational and creative workshop, Igor Klebanov, Rector of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, Jeyran Mahmudova attended the meeting.
