The referendum on adopting the new Constitution will take place after the 2026 parliamentary elections. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced on November 22 during the first conference held with representatives of state institutions.

According to Pashinyan, this will allow all political forces to share their views and positions regarding the constitutional agenda with the public during the election campaign.

“Following the elections, the position of the political majority that receives the people’s vote of confidence will be decisive in shaping the final draft of the Constitution,” Pashinyan said.
