TEHRAN, Apr. 19 (MNA) – Brigadier General Amir Hatami, Iranian Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistical Support said on Thursday that the Quadrilateral coalition of  Iran, Iraq, Russia, and Syria was very effective in eradicating ISIL in Iraq.

The quadrilateral military intelligence committee of Iran, Russia, Syria, and Iraq was held in Baghdad on Thursday concurrent with the second visit of Iranian defense minister to Iraq.

Iraq's Director of Military Intelligence Major General Saad Mezher Al-Alaq, addressed the meeting in the opening welcomed the Iranian minister for visiting Iraq and briefed Brigadier General Hatami on the activities of the committee in the time of war against the ISIL and terrorism.

“The coalition comprised of Iran, Iraq, Russia, and Syria which was formed based on the will of the senior authorities of the four countries played an effective and bold role in defeating the ISIL in Iraq,” said Brigadier General Amir Hatami, Iranian Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistical Support, in this meeting, for his part.
