Qatar Fund For Development (QFFD) and the government of Albania have signed a Grant Agreement worth $1.35mn to finance the reconstruction project of the "Jeronim De Rada" school in Tirana.

The agreement was signed by Qatar's ambassador to Albania Ali bin Hamad al-Marri, on behalf of QFFD, and Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj, on behalf of the Albanian government.
Ambassador al-Marri said that the project represents a new phase of co-operation between Qatar and Albania.
He noted that the project aims at securing a new and modern learning environment in the capital Tirana.
For his part, the Mayor of Tirana praised the support provided by Qatar which, he said, will contribute to promoting the relations between the two countries in various fields.
