Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan enjoy successful cooperation across numerous areas, said President Ilham Aliyev as he held a one-on-one meeting with Chairman of the Turkmen Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Baku on Wednesday.

“I am confident that your visit will make a significant contribution to the development of the brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. Our peoples are bound together by deep-rooted fraternal traditions, which have grown even stronger during the years of independence,” President Ilham Aliyev said, News.Az reports, citing AZERTAC.  

Stressing that Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan enjoy successful cooperation across numerous areas, the head of state noted that both countries pursue independent policies with a confident outlook toward the future.
