The Serbian government announced last week that the format of cooperation, "16 + 1," is "a comprehensive mechanism for high-level cooperation in the field of economy, especially infrastructure, as well as in agriculture, culture and media, science and technology, sports, IT sector and other fields."
This format has also become an integral part of the Belt and Road, initiated by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Brnabic will attend the opening of the China-CIE Economic, Trade and Financial Forum and will address the gathering's plenary session, it has been announced.
During the summit, heads of government of China and 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe plan to sign a commercial agreement to design and build highway E-763'0s Preljina-Pozega section, between Serbia, JP Roads of Serbia, and the China Communications Construction Company.
A protocol will be signed between the General Directorate for Quality Control, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Serbia on inspection, quarantine and veterinary sanitary requirements for export of beef from Serbia to China.
On the margins of the summit, several more agreements are expected to be signed.
Brnabic will hold bilateral meetings with Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang, and Prime Minister of Hungary Victor Orban the next day, November 28, as well as with the prime ministers of Estonia and Poland.
The Serbian delegation will also include Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic and Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antic, the government announced.
