Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon as he arrived in Dushanbe on Thursday for a working visit. 

The Tajikistan president, welcoming the Armenian premier, said that there is their first meeting and wished him success in his work in office.  

Rahmon voiced satisfaction at the current relations between the two counties and pointed out the necessity of taking steps for expanding trade and economic ties and giving them a new impetus. 
Pashinyan thanked Rahmon for warm reception and stressed the importance of developing relations between the two countries. 

Cooperation within integration organizations was discussed at the meeting as well. 

Later that day, the Armenian premier took part in an informal supper held to honor the leaders of CIS countries. 

On Friday, Pashinyan will attend a regular meeting of the CIS countries’ leaders.
