The acting spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Anna Naghdalyan denied today media reports claiming that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was planning to make an official visit to neighboring Iran soon.

Speaking at a briefing she said Pashinyan did not plan a visit to Iran any time soon. "If the prime minister’s timetable is changed  and a visit to Iran is planned  we will report about it,’ she said.

She said  also that relations with Iran are of vital importance to Armenia and that is why Armenia’s  Foreign Ministry is closely following the developments in and around that country, including in the context of Iranian-American relations.

"Naturally, the recent events are of concern, but Armenia continues to work hard maintaining  a dialogue both with Iran and  all the parties to the agreement on Tehran's nuclear program,’ she said.
