The dates of Russian Federation (RF) President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Armenia are still uncertain; it will probably take place in 2019. Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov had told this to reporters, according to Zhoghovurd (People) newspaper.

“Earlier, however, the year’s end was being circulated as the date for the RF president’s visit to Armenia.

“In a conversation with Zhoghovurd daily yesterday [Thursday], Russian political scientist Modest Kolerov said that, at first, the RF president had planned to visit Azerbaijan on [Friday] September 28, [but] then the visit was moved to [Tuesday, September] 25.

‘“It was planned that Putin would also come to [Armenia’s capital city of] Yerevan after [Wednesday,] September 26, to meet with [PM] N. Pashinyan. However, as it is known, Pashinyan left for the US [to attend the 73rd Session of the UN General Assembly in New York].

‘“The Armenian side proposed to move the meeting to December. [But] I can’t say how the Russian side replied, and why the dates are changed again,’ he [Kolerov] said,” Zhoghovurd wrote.
