Avazbek Hodzhimetov has been appointed press secretary of president of Uzbekistan, the press service of the country’s foreign ministry reported.

The report said that earlier Hodzhimetov worked in the structures of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

Earlier this post was held by Bahodirjon Ergashev, who was appointed deputy director of the Jahon Information Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
