These events are especially important from the perspective of providing the public with more in-depth information about NATO and its operations. This is what Head of the NATO Liaison Office in the South Caucasus Rosaria Puglisi said during a March 11 press conference devoted to the launch of NATO Week in Armenia.

According to Puglisi, the conduct of NATO Week in Armenia has already become a good tradition. “We refer to this as a public diplomacy event through which we want to inform the public at large about the broad partnership between NATO and Armenia. Last year’s “velvet revolution” became a very powerful signal that the people of Armenia intend to assume responsibility for the events unfolding in the country, and responsibility needs to be hinged on information. This is why we want you to fully understand and realize what is specifically being done within the framework of NATO,” Puglisi stated.
