KYRGYZSTAN WILL DEVELOP FRIENDLY RELATIONS WITH TURKEY, JAPAN, KOREA, USA AND THE EU MEMBER STATES, PRESIDENT SAYS

Kyrgyzstan attaches special meaning to development of friendly relations with its neighbors and its strategic partner Russia, said President Sooronbai Jeenbekov at the meeting of the National Sustainable Development Council on August 13.

"Further boosting of ties with the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is our strategic goal," he said.

Cooperation with China grew to the strategic level and the work in this field will go on, he added.

Kyrgyzstan will develop friendly relations with Turkey, Japan, Korea, USA and the EU member states, he said.

Cooperation with international organizations, including the UN, is also of a priority, Jeenbekov added.

The EAEU member states are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

The SCO members are China, Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
