Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Iran, Turdakun Sydykov, met with Acting Iranian Minister of Agriculture Mohammad Aghamiri on June 11, 2023. During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.

Ambassador Sydykov noted the existing potential for business cooperation in the field of agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic and suggested considering the possibility of creating joint farms, building trade and logistics centers for processing and storing agricultural products and meat. He noted the existing potential of Kyrgyzstan for the production and export of honey and beans to Iran.

In turn, the Iranian official expressed readiness to intensify cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of agriculture, noting also the existing transit and transport potential of both countries for the import and export of agricultural products.
