If Kosovo and Serbia manage to enter a peaceful agreement, citizens must be able to have their say in a referendum.

This was declared today by Kosovo’s parliamentary speaker in a meeting on the ongoing dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade.

“The final decision needs to be legitimized by the vote of the people. The citizens of Kosovo must have the final say on the result of the process of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia”, he declared inviting the opposition to join this process.

Veseli said that it’s important that political parties in Kosovo reach an agreement.

“We need political unity, but if the opposition refuses, we will continue dialogue. We also have the support of the international community.
