Haradinaj said the US support on ongoing processes in Kosovo, such as visa liberalisation, finalisation of the dialogue with Serbia and membership into the EU and NATO is crucial for Kosovo and its citizens. According to Haradinaj’s press service, the Prime Minister has informed US Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations on achievements of Kosovo in the rule of law, economic development, prevention of extremism and radicalism, emphasising that his Government is committed to sustainable peace in thje country and the region. “Kosovo has proven its commitment to prevent and fight extremism in the country and this engagement will continue,” Haradinaj said. He also said that Kosovo’s membership into Interpol would help not only Kosovo, but also the region and the EU in strengthening security and he asked for the US help to become member of the international police organisation.  

Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations, Pete Marocco, has valued achievements of Kosovo, emphasising the US commitment to help Kosovo in all important processes, whereas he assessed concrete engagement of Kosovo in fighting extremism and terrorism.
