Kosovo officials are considering introducing reciprocity measures on vehicle plates, after Serbia forces Kosovo drivers to remove Kosovo plates at the border. Another measure expected to be applied against Serbia is non recognition of Serbia’s documents, applying same measure Serbia has for Kosovo documents, which have to do with the quality of products and other documents. Haki Shatri, advisor to Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj told Radio Free Europe that they are discussing introducing new measures but no decision has been taken yet.

Kosovo Government on 21 November imposed 100 percent tax on all Serbia’s goods countering Belgrade’s aggressive campaign against statehood of Kosovo. The decision has triggered reaction in Belgrade who ask Kosovo to revoke the measure. Also the EU and US asked Kosovo to revoke the decision, saying that this is in violation with the CEFTA Free Trade Agreement. But despite pressure the Government of Kosovo says the tax will not be removed until Serbia recognizes Kosovo.
