NATO News (20 December 2016)
Zubin Potok, December 20th , 2016. This afternoon, the Joint Regional Detachment - North (JRD-N) conducted a donation of professional boots, helmets and gloves in favour of the Firefighters Station of Zubin Potok.
The handover of the equipment took place at the presence of Zubin Potok Deputy Mayor Mrs. Latinka Utvic, KFOR Command Sergeant Major Maurizio Sarasino, Commander JRD-N Colonel GS Martin Schuler, personnel of Liaison Monitor Teams (LMT) and KFOR HQ CIMIC Officers.
With this CIMIC project, JRD-N is looking forward to help firefighters increase their capabilities. Supporting local authorities and institutions achieving their mission is a key factor to build a strong relationship between KFOR and the local communities.
Today’s activity is part of a broader plan to support the civil-military cooperation program carried out by KFOR in order to support a peaceful, stable and multi-ethnic Kosovo in line with UNSCR 1244.
