President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a phone talk with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trend reports.

The two sides discussed the current state and prospects of Kazakh-Russian cooperation.

They stressed the importance of fully implementing the high-level agreements previously reached in the trade, economic, and energy sectors. They agreed to ensure thorough preparations for Vladimir Putin's upcoming state visit to Astana.
