Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks on Monday with his Israeli counterpart Isaac Herzog in the capital Astana, his office said in a statement.

Tokayev underlined that Kazakhstan and Israel maintain “close and exceptionally friendly relations,” achieving “significant” results through cooperation, primarily in the economy and politics.

"I would also like to emphasize that Kazakhstan has decided to join the Abraham Accords,” he said, describing the step as “readiness and intention to contribute to the stabilization of relations between the countries of the Middle East and Israel.”
