Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met on Sunday with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Operational Support, Mr. Atul Khare.

“During the meeting, the Prime Minister conveyed Iraq’s appreciation, both government and people, for the significant role undertaken by the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq UNAMI over the past years, and for its support to the Iraqi people in confronting the most pressing challenges they have faced, stated the media office of the prime minister in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency-INA.

“Prime Minister Al-Sudani reaffirmed the continuation of cooperation with all United Nations agencies and their humanitarian and development programs operating in Iraq, noting the government’s commitment to completing all matters related to the UNAMI mission,” the statement said.
