Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi on Monday congratulated the completion of the unification of the Peshmerga forces' formations, noting that it represents an important step toward consolidating national security.

In a post on the X platform, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Zaidi said: "We congratulate our people in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and the courageous Peshmerga on the completion of the unification of their formations under the Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs, strengthening national security and reinforcing institutional governance."
