Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid on Sunday underscored the importance of unifying efforts to guarantee security, stability, and national progress.

According to a statement from the Presidency received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), President Rashid received at Baghdad Palace Pavel Talabani, head of the Patriotic union of Kurdistan. The meeting was attended by Nizar Mohammed Said, head of the PUK political office in Baghdad, and Justice Minister Khalid Shwani.

The discussions focused on current political and security developments in Iraq, exchanged views on national issues, and explored ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, particularly in light of the recent agreement on the export of Kurdish oil to support the economy and achieve the national interest.
