IRAQ, TURKEY DISCUSS POSSIBLE OIL PIPELINE FROM KIRKUK – FOREIGN MINISTRY

Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and Turkey’s ambassador to Baghdad, Anıl Bora İnan, discussed on Tuesday the possibility of establishing and activating a pipeline to transport oil from Kirkuk to Turkish territory, the Foreign Ministry said.

In a statement, the ministry said Hussein received the Turkish envoy at its headquarters in Baghdad, where the ambassador conveyed congratulations from Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on the minister’s renewed mandate, and wished him success in his duties.

The envoy also relayed congratulations from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Iraq’s prime minister on the formation of the new government, reaffirming Ankara’s commitment to advancing bilateral relations.
