Iraq's Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein emphasized on Thursday the importance of the upcoming steps related to forming the government.

A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), indicated that "Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein met with the staff of the Iraqi embassies in Rome and the Vatican, on the sidelines of his visit to the Republic of Italy, in the presence of the chargés d'affaires."

The statement added that "during the meeting, the Foreign Minister reviewed the latest political developments in Iraq, particularly the electoral process," noting "the broad voter participation and the smooth and successful conduct of the elections, which reflects the citizens' awareness and commitment to the democratic process."
