Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein discussed with Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Álvarez on Monday the ongoing developments in the region and the repercussions of the war on regional security and stability.

Hussein discussed in a telephone call with Álvarez the ongoing developments in the region and the repercussions of the war on regional security and stability, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The Spanish Foreign Minister affirmed "Spain's support, both government and people, for the Iraqi people and government in facing the significant challenges," noting "his country's position calling for an end to the war and efforts to de-escalate tensions and establish a ceasefire."
