IRAQ AND GERMANY SIGN A MEMORANDUM TO DEVELOP AIR TRAFFIC BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES

The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority signed, today, Friday, an executive memorandum with its German counterpart, with the aim of developing air traffic between the two countries.

The head of the Civil Aviation Authority, Imad Abdel Razzaq, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The meeting with the German side discussed the draft air transport services agreement for the purpose of updating the previous agreement signed between the two countries in 1977, in addition to signing an executive memorandum with the German side.” To develop air transport movement between the two countries in a way that serves the interests of Iraqi national carriers and current Iraqi airports.”

He added, "Cooperation and coordination with the German side would benefit from all expertise and capabilities to develop the reality of air transport movement in a way that serves the national interest of Iraq."
