IRAN, AZERBAIJAN SIGN AGREEMENT TO STRENGTHEN JOINT EFFORTS ON BORDER COOPERATION

Iran and Azerbaijan reached a pact to enlarge and reinforce mutual efforts on border collaborations along the 432 kilometers of the shared border between the two neighboring nations.

On Tuesday, top Iranian and Azeri border guard commanders contracted an agreement to cooperate in the domain of border security.

Border Guard Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Brigadier General Qassem Rezayee and Chief of State Border Service of Azerbaijan Republic Colonel General Elchin Isa oglu Guliyev signed the cooperation document.

According to the collaboration document, both countries will enhance exchange of information and also increase cooperation in combat drug trafficking along the borders.
