On a visit to Malaga President François Hollande met Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy and warned the French to reject populism, extremism and nationalism.

The message comes as far right Marine Le Pen leads in the French presidential election polls and Geert Wilders is ahead in The Netherlands: “We must reject solutions that not only would weaken the management of our country, but would also discriminate against rights, mechanisms of protection, freedom, employment and the economic activity of my fellow French citizens,” said the president.

Spain’s minority government leader Rajoy went one step further and called for even greater European union:“In my opinion, we should not just deal with today’s real problems as much as we can, but also talk about the future. 
I think that we should continue to advance in the European Economic and Monetary Union and I think that now is the time to talk about a fiscal union,” said Spain’s leader in statement to send the Brexiters into meltdown.

Hollande announced that the leaders of Germany, Italy and Spain will join him at Versailles to draft new EU reforms ahead of the 60th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome.
