Greeks went on strike and held street protests against a new controversial labour bill to make employment practices more flexible, which unions describe as an attack on workers’ rights, as the draft law was debated in parliament.

Protesters including union members and students gathered in Athens, Thessaloniki and other Greek cities to protest against a new labour bill which was being debated today on Thursday in the Greek parliament.
