Rodopi SYRIZA MP and deputy head of the party's health department Özgür Ferhat said that the health system has reached a dangerous and uncontrollable dimension as a result of the wrong policy pursued by the government.

Ferhat said, "Due to the lack of personnel in hospitals and low budget, the health institutions of our country are collapsing one after another. Health personnel are forced to leave their professions due to unfavourable working conditions. In our hospitals, which have now turned into health centres, urgent surgeries are postponed and patients are stuck in long waits. In addition, clinics are insufficient due to staff shortages and especially cancer patients are deprived of chemotherapy treatments."
