This briefing presents the practically uncontrollable rise of inflation in Greece and its impact in the Greek economy.

The rapid increase of prices, as well as the increase of interest rates generates new risks for the national economy. The government implements support measures for businesses and households and in parallel, with the acceleration of the effort to attract investments, as well as the anticipated revenues from the tourism sector, may offer an ease to the negative economic effects. However, inflation is projected to further increase and the magnitude of its impact to the economy is not yet clear.
