AKIPRESS (27 January 2022)

Gas shortage was caused by power outage in Uzbekistan, when the Uzbek oil and gas company had to stop hydrocarbon production at 64 fields.

Temporary rationing was introduced at gas stations since January 26, Podrobno.uz reported with reference to the Ministry of Energy.

The move is explained with reduction of gas pressure at thermal power plants, which affects electricity generation.
