Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II sent a message urging the organizers and participants of the actions demanding his resignation to refrain from  holding a rally scheduled for June 30 in Etchmiadzin.

As Garegin II notes in his message, having learned of this  initiative, thousands of followers and ministers of the church intend  to come to Echmiadzin in solidarity with the Catholicos on June 30  (this day the Armenian Church celebrates the 12th Apostles' holiday).  In this regard, Garegin II urges the organizers of the action to  refrain from their initiative, otherwise the consequences may be  undesirable.

"There is a tense and emotional situation, provocative actions can  cast a shadow on the reputation of the Armenian church and its  novices," the message says.

To note, for a month now, as several clerics of the Armenian  Apostolic Church organize actions demanding the resignation of  Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.
