Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein explained to Arab diplomats about Iraq's preparations for holding elections.

A statement by the ministry stated that "Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein and his accompanying delegation met, during his current visit to Madrid, with a group of Arab ambassadors accredited to Madrid, with the presence of the Iraqi ambassador, Adel Mustafa Kamel, and embassy staff. 

The statement indicated that "Hussein delivered a speech that included an explanation of Iraq's foreign policy and the axes pursued by Iraq represented in achieving balance in relations, non-interference in internal affairs, and the principle of good neighborliness He also provided an explanation of the Iraqi government's preparations for holding elections next October.
