Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fouad Hussein and the US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, stressed the need to create a joint mechanism to follow up on the desired results of the Iraqi delegation's visit to Washington.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Hussein received Romanowski, and during the meeting, they discussed the results of the visit that the minister made to Washington and ways to follow up the outputs emanating from the results of the visit, and the two sides stressed the need to create a joint mechanism to follow up on the desired results of the visit.

Al-Sahhaf added, "The two sides touched on the issue of stopping the Iranian-American talks, especially after the visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister to Baghdad, yesterday, Wednesday," continuing, "The meeting also discussed the proposal for a resolution submitted by Brazil to the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly on the Russian-Ukrainian war.".
