The European Union and Serbia will finance the construction of a new gas pipeline between Serbia and Bulgaria.

The works will begin on Tuesday and should be completed in the fourth quarter of 2023.

The new Nis-Sofia gas pipeline and a new one under construction between Greece and Bulgaria will diversify energy sources in Serbia and the Western Balkans region and expand supply sources.
