On 22 September CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas visited Armenia's Vayots Dzor Province on the border with Azerbaijan as part of the CSTO mission, CSTO press secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov told BelTA.

“Stanislav Zas met with Armenian military commanders deployed on the Line of Contact, as well as local authorities. He also examined the places that were shelled, talked with the military personnel who took part in the hostilities,” the spokesman said.

The CSTO mission arrived in Armenia in accordance with the decision of the extraordinary meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council on 13 September. The mission includes representatives of the CSTO member states, who are employed by CSTO bodies.
