Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Bulgaria, Ekaterina Zaharieva confirmed from Tirana, where she is on an official visit, the support of her country for the EU integration process. Meanwhile, she also praised the reforms undertaken by Albania so far for the European integration.

“We praise your efforts for the implementation of the reform in the justice system, because we’re convinced that they are related. The outcome of the recent elections showed that Albanian citizens support the reforms that the government has carried out in these domains. I’m convinced that until the end of the year you will make good progress in order for the Bulgarian presidency to support you in taking a political decision of launching the process of negotiations”, said the Bulgarian chief of diplomacy during a meeting with her Albanian counterpart, Ditmir Bushati.

Meanwhile, Ditmir Bushati said that they agreed on expanding the sphere of cooperation as part of a more focused action plan during the Bulgarian presidency of the European Union.
