The foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Georgia held another round of consular consultations in Baku on Monday, focusing on the current state and prospects of bilateral consular cooperation, including the potential signing of related agreements.

The talks addressed the protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms and the provision of consular assistance, as well as steps to intensify cooperation, News.Az reports, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. The sides also reviewed collaboration in key sectors such as justice, migration, education, and social protection.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the heads of delegation, Emil Safarov, head of the ministry’s Consular Department, and Giorgi Tabatadze, director of the Department of International Law, Consular Affairs, and Diaspora Issues at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, signed the official protocol.
