Azerbaijan-Georgia relations are based on friendship and good neighborliness, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.

He made the remarks at a joint briefing with his Georgian counterpart Mikheil Janelidze in Baku Feb. 13, APA reported.

Mammadyarov said he discussed with his Georgian counterpart ways of development of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The Azerbaijani FM also touched on the implementation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project.

“The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway will go into service this year. This project will contribute to the development of the three countries”, added the minister.
