ARMENIA’S GROSS PUBLIC DEBT UP BY 6,3%, STATISTICAL SERVICE SAYS

Armenia’s gross public debt amounts to around $5.4 billion as of July 31, a $306,5 million or 6,3% increase against the figures registered in late 2015.

According to data provided by the National Statistical Service, the country’s foreign debt makes up around $4.5 billion, including the government’s $3.99 billion and the Central Bank’s $502.4 million debts.

Armenia’s gross foreign debt has increased by 4% against late 2015.

The domestic debt totals over $891 million, up by 17% since late 2015.
