Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with President Charles Michel of the European Council, the Prime Minister's Office reported.

They discussed Armenia-EU relations. Accordingly, the parties expressed readiness to further develop Armenia-EU cooperation, including trade and economic ties.

The agenda of ongoing democratic reforms in Armenia was at the heart of the discussion. The President of the European Council emphasized the importance of the path of reforms chosen by Armenia.

Pashinyan and Michel also exchanged views on their expectations from the Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels in June.

The telephone conversation was on the initiative of the Armenian side.
