ARMENIA, ESTONIA SEE HUGE UNTAPPED ROOM FOR DEVELOPMENT OF RELATIONS

Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, who is now in Tallinn for an official visit, met yesterday with President of the Riigikogu (Parliament of Estonia) Eiki Nestor, the press office of Armenia’s foreign ministry reports.

Mnatsakanyan and Nestor said there is a wide room for development in the centuries-long relations between Armenia and Estonia. They stressed the importance of the steps being taken for using the parliamentary diplomacy to its full extent.  

They also pointed out the successful experience in culture area and information technology industry. 
Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Eiki Nestor also spoke about Armenia-EU relations and Armenia’s bilateral relations with EU member countries. 

The Armenian minister also stressed the importance of the Eastern Partnership and its role as an effective platform for joint work. 

Presenting the recent political developments in Armenia and the new government’s top-priority objectives to Nestor, Mnatsakanyan said that for the months of its activity, the government has proven its determination to implement the reforms ordered by the people. 

He also put a special emphasis on the fact that young people, women and the civil society are widely involved in the processes in Armenia.
